NEWS: Flood Recovery Update: Fact Sheet
For residents and businesses impacted by the recent flooding, Albany County Emergency Management has advised that a request for an SBA Administrative Disaster Declaration was submitted for small businesses and individuals.
This is an important first step, but it is not a guarantee that financial assistance will become available. Once the request is processed, representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration and NYS DHSES Recovery will conduct an assessment to determine whether the area meets the requirements for an SBA declaration.
Residents and businesses are strongly encouraged to continue reporting storm damage through New York State’s damage assessment tool:
These reports are important in documenting the extent of damage throughout our community. The SBA program generally requires a documented threshold of significant uninsured losses before a declaration can be approved.
Please continue to report your damage and share the damage assessment link with neighbors, businesses, and others who may have been affected.
